Co-founder Dr John Doddy said: "We have issued 80 cards...to people who can come here to the Broadmarsh 24 hours a day, seven days a week...and they can dispense up to three items a day for two weeks."

He said: "There were some concerns about whether this would be truly freely available for all homeless people to use unconditionally or if it was gate-kept and you would have to be registered with services."
