    Football fans have been warned not to use the trains tomorrow if they are heading to Nottingham.

    Nottingham Forest will take on Aston Villa at the City Ground but the British Transport Police said it is "unlikely the station will open".

    A spokesman said: "If it does open there will not be a full service operating.

    "Therefore we are asking people to make alternative travel arrangements."

    Notts County fans have also been told to make other travel arrangements if they are going to watch the match at Lincoln City.

    Carrington Street has now reopened.

    The road had been closed while firefighters tackled this morning's blaze at Nottingham railway station.

    Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has said the fire at Nottingham railway station is now "under control" but is "continuing to burn".

    Here is the latest information from East Midlands Trains about which rail services are running:

    • London St Pancras-Derby-Sheffield: The operator says it is working towards running a full timetable, but some trains and crews are not in the right place so cancellations may occur
    • Nottingham-London St Pancras: East Midlands Trains is working towards running trains to/from East Midlands Parkway instead of Nottingham
    • Leicester-Nottingham-Lincoln: There is no service on this route for the remainder of the day
    • Nottingham-Grantham-Skegness: There is no service on this line for the rest of the day
    • Derby-Crewe: East Midlands Trains says it is working towards running a full timetable, but some trains and crews are not in the right place so cancellations may occur
    • Matlock-Nottingham: There are plans to run trains on this route between Matlock and Derby only
    • Nottingham-Mansfield-Worksop: There will be no service on this route for the remainder of Friday
    • Liverpool-Nottingham-Norwich: There is a limited bus service to Nottingham Jurys Inn for those who have already started their journey

    Fire crews are working under "arduous conditions" as they deal with the blaze at Nottingham's railway station.

    The fire service said the fire, which started in a toilet, has spread to a "wooden bridge walkway area" with 12 crews and specialist support working to put it out.

    Incident commander Bryn Coleman said: "The fire crews are working in arduous conditions, very hot, very smoky and quite physically intensive work.

    "There is extensive smoke damage to both the original concourse and the new build areas and significant damage to the wooden structures going across the railway lines.
