Neighbours of a housing development under construction in Wollaton have raised concerns about the work - alleging builders have encroached on their land and claiming they have been suffering from dust and noise disturbances.
More than 70 residents attended the North Wollaton Residents' Association meeting earlier this week where the £32m Martins Reach site was discussed.
Councillor Steve Battlemuch, who was at the meeting, said: "Because of the position of the site there are a lot of neighbours affected by this. There is very strong feeling amongst residents about it. This isn't just nimbyism, these people are real humans whose lives are being affected by this development."
The 88-home development will consist of three, four and five-bedroom homes.
A spokesman for Avant Homes said: "We have not been involved in any encroachment on to land we do not own. Avant Homes has been in regular contact with residents where we have been made aware of any concerns as to the ongoing work and activities."
Relive the action as Coventry City win at Notts County to reach the League Two play-off final at Wembley.

Former England cricketer James Taylor has been reliving the moment he admits he was "on the verge of death".
The Nottinghamshire batsman's career ended in 2016 when he was diagnosed with a serious, previously undiagnosed heart condition which could have claimed his life.
He has written about the day his symptoms arrived in dramatic fashion in his new autobiography "Cut Short", which is being serialised in the Telegraph.
"Just a few weeks earlier I'd been scoring runs and taking miracle catches for England in South Africa. Now I was a hunched, grey, hollow figure on the verge of death," Taylor wrote of his deteriorating condition.
"By 16:00, I was feeling progressively worse and getting pains down my left arm.
"Looking back, it's obvious - it's the sign of a heart attack. I shouldn't have been alive at that stage. With my body concentrating all it had on my vital organs, my stomach was already giving up."
Warning letters over the "piercings" have been sent to schools in Nottingham and the wider county.

An MP has said she will continue to press her government to repair a school which has "outlived its original purpose".
William Allitt School in Sunnyside, Newhall, requires £10m to repair it and, in places, is being physically propped-up.
The school's chair of governers believes taxpayers would be better served by completely rebuilding the school at a cost of £17-25m, as it would save money in the long run.
Steve Frost told the local democracy reporting service that the 1960s building has "outlived its original purpose".
Heather Wheeler, South Derbyshire MP, said: "I have been in correspondence with... Lord Theodore Agnew [the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the School System], about the William Allitt school and its need for specific funding.
"I have been pressing for a meeting with the minister so that he realises how important this issue is for residents in Newhall and I will continue to do so."
The government added nearly £38m has been invested in repairing schools in Derbyshire in the past three years and that more money is on the way for those most in need.
