    It's a big day for Lutterworth Town FC as its brand new flatpack 50-seater, three-tier stand will arrive and be assembled this afternoon.

    To qualify to play at a higher level, the club had to have a 50-seater stand. When the official one was delayed, owner Andy and his son Mark Dixon knocked one together just in time for an FA inspection.

    It's proved such a hit they're going to keep it!

    Lutterworth Town FC, external play in their first FA Cup Game on Saturday. England legend Paul Gascoigne will officially open their new stand.

    Severn Trent Water says customers in the area are facing disruption until at least 13:00.

    Engineers are currently assessing the damage.

    A 76-year-old woman remains in hospital after she was hit by a car in Leicester yesterday.

    The accident happened just after 16.50 on Mansfield Street near the city centre when a car struck four pedestrians.

    The woman's injuries are not thought to be serious and the other three people, who were taken to the QMC in Nottingham, have since been discharged.

    Leicestershire Police said they are investigating and asked anyone who saw what happened to come forward.

    The fire service has described the blaze near Sherwood Pines as "deep-seated" and said they would be at the scene "for some time".

    A spokeswoman from the Forestry Commission said the fire is by a disused railway line and is not near the main visitor centre.

    She said Sherwood Pines remains open as usual.

    These images of two men on a moped have been released by police in connection with three jewellery snatches in Leicester.

    Last Saturday two men on a moped approached a 64-year-old woman in Canon Street at around 13.00 and stole a pendant off her necklace.

    Then on Monday two men attempted to steal a necklace from around the neck of a 64-year-old man at about 18.15 on Doncaster Road, but failed.

    About half an hour later the same men are thought to have approached a woman in her 40s on Jarrom Street and took a 24-carat gold necklace she was wearing.

    DC Steve Wallage said: “All the incidents have taken place in broad daylight in busy areas of the city and east Leicester."

    He said officers were keen to speak to anyone who recognises the bike or the helmets worn by the men and urged people to think about covering their jewellery.

    A man has died in hospital after being pulled from a canal in Leicester, external.

    Police said the man was found near the rowing club at Uppington Road at about 15:20 yesterday and his death was being treated as unexplained.

    The man has not been named but police said it was not Michal Zygan, who has been missing from his home in Leicester for two weeks and was last spotted near the canal.

    A group of rail workers narrowly avoided being hit by a passenger train near a level crossing in Nottinghamshire, a report has said, external.

    The train had been approaching the crossing, in Egmanton, at about 125mph on 5 October when the driver spotted the contractors in the distance and sounded the horn.

    However, the group did not immediately move. They only became aware of the train when it was about three seconds from hitting them and scrambled from the track with about one second to spare.

    A report by the Rail Accident Investigation Branch found the group's leader had been trying to maximise working time on the track by ignoring an automated audible warning of an approaching train and relying on a human lookout to report when the train was getting close.

    This makeshift system broke down when both he and the lookout became distracted and forgot about the approaching train

    The RAIB recommended contract workers and their managers were reminded of the importance of following safety rules.

    A Derby couple who were caught up in an earthquake in Indonesia say it was like a "horror film".

    Naomi and Adam Mulryan, from Oakwood, had just started their honeymoon on one of the Gili Islands near Lombok when the earthquake struck on Sunday.

    "It's just been sheer panic...chaos," said Mrs Mulryan.

    She added: "It only lasted a few seconds but it felt like minutes. We were thrown all over the place.

    "People were crying and screaming. Walls were blocking the streets, the roads were cracked so we couldn't get through.

    "I thought we were going to die. We're so lucky."

    The couple are now flying back home having cut their three-week honeymoon short.

    With the transfer deadline just a few hours away, Jose Mourinho has hinted Manchester United's pursuit of Leicester City defender Harry Maguire may have ended for now.

    Asked about any potential deadline day signings at a news conference this morning, he said: "I am not confident and the market closes today so it's time, at least for me, to stop thinking about the market because the market will be closed."

    Could it be a classic Mourinho bluff though? We will have to wait until 17:00 to find out.

    A fourth person has been arrested in connection with a firearms discharge in Radford.

    A 23-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH.

    It comes after reports of a gun being fired in Tennyson Street, Radford, just before 18.00 last Friday.

    Two 16-year-old boys have already been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and a 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

    Nottinghamshire Police said they believe several people were at the scene and have asked anyone who saw someone with a gun or weapon to get in touch with them.

    Firefighters are dealing with another grass fire near Sherwood Pines this morning.

    Yesterday Nottinghamshire fire crews tackled a large fire at the Oak Tree Heath nature reserve near Jubilee Way South, Mansfield.

    And later in the afternoon they were called to more grass fires at Dunvegan Drive in Rise Park and Park Road in Bestwood Village.

    A motorist who was travelling along a flooded railway bridge on Alfreton Road has told BBC Radio Derby the road was "lifted" about a foot-and-a-half by water pressure.

    "There was a small amount of water trickling to start with and then there was just such an enormous flow and it broke the road completely," the man said.

    He said traffic coming in the opposite direction to him had to reverse back off the bridge.

    Residents in Littleover and Normanton have reported to having no water this morning and there is low pressure at properties in Chaddesden.

    Severn Trent Water says its engineers are on their way to fix the burst water main on Alfreton Road.

    They said customers in Derby may be experiencing "interruptions" to their water supply or low pressure as a result and they hoped to have the pipe fixed "as soon as possible".

    Police have now closed the A61 in Derby from the Little Eaton to the Morrisons Roundabout.

    Chester Green Road, Alfreton Road and Croft Lane on to the Pektron Island are also not passable by vehicles.

    Derbyshire Police said the closures could be in place for some time and asked motorists to find alternative routes.

    Campaigners are facing a race against time to save the headstocks at the former Clipstone Colliery before they fall down.

    The Nottinghamshire mine closed in 2003 and ever since then the future of the structures, believed to be the tallest ever headstocks, has divided opinion - with talks of retaining them for an activity centre or flattening them for housing.

    The Save the Headstocks Project has been working on ideas for years and say a decision must be made soon.
