Notts County are hosting a send off for a 104-year-old who may have been their longest ever fan.
Jack Challans, of Aspley, used to sneak into the club's ground as a child to watch them play almost a century ago.
The "football-mad" great-great-grandad never stopped supporting the team, listening to or watching every game until his death last week, his granddaughter Sally Wilson-Challans said.
The club - who sent him a birthday card signed by the players on his 100th birthday - got in touch with his relatives and agreed for the wake to be held at Meadow Lane.
A spokesman said: "It will give club staff the opportunity to pay their respects. Our thoughts continue to be with Jack's loved ones at this difficult time."

There was a Christmas food festival in Belper over the weekend where thousands of shoppers descended on the high street.
Half an hour before the stalls opened up, they had a slow shopping period exclusively for people who have difficultly getting around.
People who perhaps use a wheelchair or have a visual impairment could access the stalls at a quieter, more relaxed time before the frenzy really got going.
Among those there were Sarah Barley-McMullen and Siobhan Fennell, pictured, from Accessible Belper. Ms Fennell said people in the town are good at respecting the "slow shopping hour".
One of those making the most of the quieter time told the BBC without it she wouldn't have come: "My anxiety gets high, I get stepped on, people pushing me. If this wasn't on I wouldn't come."

The owner of this 15-month-old Belgian shepherd is warning others to be careful with their pets around Christmas food.
It's after Micky ate a potentially deadly mince pie last year and had to spend two days being treated by vets in Derby.
The raisins, sultanas and currants in a mince pie can cause kidney failure. Staff at Pride Veterinary Centre fed Mickey meals with charcoal in to prevent any absorption of toxins into his system.
After 48 hours of IV fluids a blood test thankfully revealed Micky's kidneys were functioning normally and he was able to go home.

A bus with a Brexit message has arrived in Leicester's Jubilee Square.
The Bollocks to Brexit bus is run by a group of pro-remain activists who are touring the country to campaign against leaving the EU.
Madeleina Kay is one of the campaigners - she said: "We are particularly targeting this campaign at the youth but also everyone who is just sick and tired of the Brexit debate - hearing white, middle class, male, career politicians boring everyone to death and making a complete hash of the country."
She said her aim is to stop Brexit, which she believes is a "disaster" for the country.
The bus has arrived in Leicester just as Theresa May is expected to call-off tomorrow's crucial vote on her Brexit deal.
Talking about her Brexit deal the Prime Minister said: "It will be a deal that is in our national interest - one that works for our whole country and all of our people, whether you voted 'Leave' or 'Remain'".
The UK voted to leave the EU in a referendum by 52% to 48%.

A UK donor has been found to help save the life of a two-year-old girl in the US with one of the rarest blood types in the world.
Zainab Mughal, from Miami in Florida, has neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of cancer, which means she needs a series of blood transfusions.
The search for donors is confined to a very specific population - people of exclusively Pakistani, Indian or Iranian descent. Even within that population, only 4% have the unusual genetic variation.
Following a global search, a British Indian mother of two was found to be a match.
The 50-year-old, from Nottingham, said she feels "privileged" that her donation was being used to help Zainab.
The donor, who has decided to remain anonymous, said: "I didn't know who the recipient was when I donated but I do know now, having read the coverage.
"I am very humbled that I have played a small part in aiding someone's recovery from illness.
"I do hope the publicity encourages more people to donate, especially from the Asian community, as even a single donation can make a massive difference to someone who needs it."
