    CCTV footage has been released after a catalytic converter was stolen from a car in Nottingham.

    The devices, which are used to clean harmful emissions before they exit the exhaust pipe, contain precious metals.

    The footage shows show two men jacking up the vehicle while it was parked at Clifton Park and Ride.

    Police want to speak to the men in the video over the theft which happened on 6 August.

    Officers urged car owners to protect their vehicles against thieves by installing alarms and parking in busy areas.

    Rutland's Belvoir Castle has got a starring role in the new series of Netflix drama The Crown.

    The Queen, played by Olivia Coleman, is seen dining in the castle's state dining room, and Helena Bonham Carter - who plays Princess Margaret - can also be seen outside the Regency-era castle.

    The Emmy award-winning drama's most recent series started on Sunday.

    This video shows specialists clearing a rock fall caused by heavy rain in Derbyshire last week.

    The A623 near Stoney Middleton was shut by the rockfall and Derbyshire County Council had to call in experts had to clear a large slab of loose rock above the village.

    The road was closed after the rockfall on Tuesday night, but was reopened on Friday.

    People in parts of Leicestershire are trying to piece their lives back together after the latest spate of flooding damaged homes and businesses.

    Sarah Brackstone's home in Long Whatton was heavily flooded on Thursday, and she has been drying out her house over the weekend.

    Her home was flooded seven years ago, and said she was "pretty devastated".

    She has put sodden scrapbooks and pictures drawn by her son George in the freezer, in the hope that she can eventually thaw them and salvage some keepsakes.

    She said: "It's not so much the money. It's memories from dead people like my grandmother, things that can't be replaced."

    Her home wasn't insured because the premiums went up so much after the last flood, and said: "It's cost me a decade of my life effectively.

    "We're not well off, we're a housing association property so to keep losing stuff all the time, it does get expensive to replace it."

    Neil Vardy, 72, from Huthwaite, in Nottinghamshire, used Your Questions Answered to ask: “When will postal voting forms be sent out?”

    Postal votes for people in Ashfield District Council, external, which includes Huthwaite, will be issued in two waves around 26 November and 3 December 2019.

    Any applications received after 7 November will be sent out in the second batch, the council said.

    However, the date you receive your postal vote form will vary depending on where you live.

    For example, Blaby District Council in Leicestershire said, external its postal votes are usually sent out about a week before election day, though it can be as short as four working days before the election.

    The deadline to apply for a postal vote, external in England, Scotland and Wales is 26 November at 17:00.

    In Northern Ireland, the deadline is 21 November.

    A breastfeeding mother felt "discriminated against" after being told to leave a speed awareness course because she had taken her baby.

    Sarah Oakes attended a session in Nottingham on Friday but was told her six-week-old could not be in the room.

    Ms Oakes, from Ruddington, opted to take the course instead of penalty points, on Friday, but was not aware she could not take a newborn baby.

    She said her son was currently "breastfeeding on demand" and feeds for up to an hour and a half at a time.

    "It wouldn't really be practical for me to be leaving the room to breastfeed," said the 38-year-old.

    "It's hard to see how they were being breastfeeding friendly which is what they thought they were being."

    A spokeswoman for AA DriveTech said they were adhering to guidelines set by the National Driver Offender Re-training Scheme (NDORS) "As such our stance regarding the provision of service for breastfeeding mothers is laid out for us," she added.

    Ms Oakes said she may be forced to take the points on her licence and pay a fine or re-book the course.

    A man was stranded 23ft (7m) in the air for two hours when his cherry picker broke down while putting up Christmas lights.

    The council worker was was marooned in Market Harborough at the weekend after his platform would not lower.

    Leicestershire Fire and Rescue helped recover the man with one of its own platforms.

    Manager of the Nags Head, Angela Denison, said: "Our customers enjoyed the unexpected entertainment, the ladies loved the arrival of all those fireman, especially when the impressive rescue equipment arrived."

    She added the rescued light fitter appeared to be "seriously embarrassed".

    Flood warnings remain across parts of the East Midlands after heavy rainfall saw severe disruption across the region last week.

    The Environment Agency has issued several warnings - meaning flooding is expected - across the River Trent at Cavendish Bridge, Carlton-on-Trent, Collingham, and Girton.

    In Leicestershire and Derbyshire, the River Soar and the Derwent both have several flood alerts, meaning flooding is possible.

    A grounds vehicle stolen from Newark Cemetery on Thursday was found by Nottinghamshire Police using a location app.

    The John Deere buggy was stolen from the cemetery overnight, but was discovered by officers thanks to a tracker on the vehicle.

    A spokesperson said officers used What3words, an app which divides the world into 57 trillion squares, and each are given a unique, randomly assigned three-word address.

    Police added the incident "highlights the value of fitting plant and other equipment with a tracker".
