A teenager has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Clifton.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to Southchurch Drive, just before 20:10 yesterday and part of the tram route had to be closed.
The force said an "altercation is believed to have taken place between two young men, one of whom was reported to have been stabbed".
The 17-year-old boy's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, officers added.
Det Sgt Nigel Malik said: "It is believed this is an isolated incident between two people who know each other and there is no wider risk to the public."
He added inquiries were continuing and asked anyone who saw the stabbing or has any information to get in touch.
