Green Fields Beyond is part of Lincoln's 100th anniversary commemoration of the events of 1916, external - including the Battle of the Somme and the production of the tank.
The name of this event is taken from the unofficial tank regiment motto "Through Mud and Blood to the Green Fields Beyond".

A beautiful setting for the World War One eventpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 16 July 2016
Tonight's production is taking place inside Lincoln Castle - home to one of four remaining copies of Magna Carta, which was signed by King John at Runnymede in 1215.
The castle is also currently hosting an exhibition of poppies marking the centenary of World War One.
