    A few showers are possible at first, but otherwise largely dry with sunny spells, before cloud thickens again during the afternoon.

    Outbreaks of rain will then spread north-east, turning heavy and persistent by the evening.

    A woman has died and two other people are in hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A52 yesterday, police say.

    Traffic came to standstill and the road was shut both ways in Newton after the incident involving a heavy goods vehicle and a blue Suzuki car.

    Lincolnshire Police want any witnesses to get in touch.

    A flood scheme to protect more than 350 homes in Louth and Horncastle will be unveiled later.

    Homes in the town were badly affected by heavy rainfall in 2007 and again in 2014.

    Construction on the £6.5m Louth scheme and the £8.1m Horncastle scheme started in summer 2015.

    It's hoped the flood storage reservoirs will significantly reduce the threat of flooding and stop scenes like the ones above.

    The first images of what a major development in the centre of Grimsby will look like have been released.

    The £20 million plans to transform the Riverhead area include a new cinema and seven restaurants.

    An official planning application has now been submitted to the council.

    A housing association based in Boston could merge with one which has it's headquarters in Grimsby.

    Consultation begins today on plans for Shoreline in North East Lincolnshire to join Boston Mayflower.

    Officials say combining services would make them more efficient. If approved the new organisation would look after almost 13,000 homes.

    A 14-year-old boy was punched in the face in what police have described as a "seemingly random, motiveless attack" on the Lincolnshire coast.

    Officers say the teenager, from Leicestershire, was walking back to his holiday caravan park on Walls Lane, Ingoldmells, when it happened.

    They're appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened at around 22:00 on Sunday night.

    Firefighters have criticised hoax callers after a false alarm in Lincoln this morning.

    Two city crews were called to Cannon Street in the city just before 12:00.

    Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue has condemned the caller and says they wasted firefighters' time when they could have been helping others.

    Boston's Market Place will host a festival cycling tomorrow - with some unconventional contraptions on display alongisde the more traditional two wheelers.

    Children can have a go on the KMX Kart track (below) and the whole family can ride on the multi-pedal mega bus.

    Open from 10:00 to 15:00, the open-air event is entirely free and organised by the Boston Big Local group which aims to promote the town.
