Obviously, not the sausages the county is usually famous for, but sausages nontheless.

The pair of sausage dogs (or Dachshunds if you want to be posh) secured a Silver and a Bronze in categories at the famous event in Birmingham this weekend.

Ellie won a silver in the miniature long-haired category and Jack won a Bronze in the Good Citizens Dog class (or, as I like to call it, the "Who's a good boy?" class).

And is it turns out, the Dachshunds are uniquely motivated when compared with other breeds at Crufts:

    Quote Message

My veteran (Ellie), she is in the ring for sausages. Because the Dachshunds always get a sausage whether they win or lose if they're in the veteran class. If she can't see somebody with a sausage she goes around mugging the judge and everybody until she finds them!"
