Lincolnshire county councillors' allowances will increase by over £100 a year starting from this week.
The level of allowances for councillors is recommended by an Independent Renumeration Panel (IRP) which is made up of people from outside the council.
All elected councillors currently receive what is known as a basic allowance to carry out their duties.
For 2017-18, the basic allowance was set at £10,425.50 but that will rise to £10,529.76 for 2018-19.
The IRP recommended the members' allowances scheme continues to be linked to the average percentage increase in pay for employees.
In addition to basic allowances, other councillors receive extra allowances for special responsibilities at the council.
Work on a new lifeboat station in Cleethorpes is expected to start later this year, according to the RNLI.

Five hundred homes and over 1,000 jobs will be created as part of The Quadrant, which is being built on land between Tytton Lane East and the A16.
A supermarket and a hotel could also be built as part of the project which got outline planning permission in 2015.

Police officers in Lincolnshire are to be given so-called spit hoods to protect them from being spat at or bitten while arresting people.
The netted hoods are placed over a person's head if officers suspect they're likely to spit or bite.
Some human rights campaigners have called them "cruel and degrading".

Business owners in Lincolnshire say visitor numbers on the east coast this March have been the "worst ever".
Snow last month, and torrential rain over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend (pictured) has harmed trade.
Karen Hemmings, who runs a sweet shop in Mablethorpe says it's been dreadful.
Quote MessageTakings are dreadful... You don't make that money back up, people haven't got another Bank Holiday to come and spend their money, they've saved up, they want to come for this weekend and they're not here"
Karen Hemmings, Mablethorpe Business Owner

It is hoped it'll reduce alcohol-related violence in towns like Grimsby and Cleethorpes.
People can be sent to prison if they drink alcohol while wearing one.
Farmers say they're having to delay planting vegetables because the ground is saturated following heavy rainfall.
Mark Leggott, who farms near Boston, says his fields were drying out last week and so were fertilised, but after 3cm of rain this weekend that will have to be redone.
Because farmers have to wait for the ground to dry, it could delay the planting of vegetables like potatoes for about a fortnight.
Quote MessageEvery week we lose now, is a week less of the growing season...The areas that generally plant potatoes very early have been held off by the rain, which means there could be a glut of early potatoes come July or August.

New services have been announced for a railway station in Lincolnshire which is currently only used once a week.
Gainsborough Central only has services on Saturdays, and in 2016/7 only 1,000 people were registered as having boarded trains at the station.
It's come under criticism for being "under-used".
But all that is about to change, by the end of this year the station is due to have an hourly service.
Northern Rail says it is currently finalising the service.
There are several flood warnings in place across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire following heavy rain over the weekend, but how is the weather looking today?
