    More ideas are being sought to secure the future of a Skegness landmark.

    The pavilion in the town's Tower Gardens has been in disrepair for years and has been close to being torn down.

    But a number of committed residents and town councillors have been fighting to save it and now they want to hear what people want to see the building used for in a bid to make it viable.

  2. Fire crews tackle another Lincolnshire field blazepublished at 12:01 BST 9 August 2018

    Eight fire engines were needed to put out a large field fire near Welton north of Lincoln last night.

    About 40 hectares of stubble and 100m of hedgerow were damaged.

    It's believed the fire was caused by carelessly discarded smoking materials:

    A travelling skip will be visiting different locations around North East Lincolnshire to allow residents to dump their old household items.

    The local authority is organising it help prevent fly-tipping which has become a problem.

    The scheme is due to start next month.

    Countryside communities and businesses will need government funding in a post-Brexit future, according to Lincolnshire County Council.

    The authority is today writing to ministers setting out how they might replace EU funds.

    Lincolnshire gets up to £20m a year in EU grants, which goes into sectors including agriculture, training and economic development.

    Organisers of the Lincoln Festival of Cycling, which includes the Lincoln Grand Prix, say they need more investors to ensure it survives for years to come.

    This year the Criterium and Uphill Dash events had to be cancelled because there wasn't enough cash to properly staff them.

    The televised event was watched by millions last year and is worth half-a-million pounds to the city's economy.

    The future of Grantham Museum's looks uncertain.

    Fundraising director Amanda Schonhut says the venue is entirely dependent on community support and that the decision to keep it open is often made on a monthly basis.

    Scunthorpe United has submitted plans to increase the capacity of its Glanford Park ground to 11,000 seats.

    The club's also seeking permission for more office space and 160 apartments.

    It says the plans would create a modern stadium in line with its ambition to get back into the Championship.

    Britain in Bloom judges have been in Beverley today.

    Beverley's Market Cross with flower planters in front of it.

    The East Yorkshire town is a finalist in this year's large town category.

    Beverley is up against eight other competitors, including Perth, Oswestry and Colwyn Bay.

    Judges say they are impressed with the number of people who've been involved.

    Immingham has also made it to the Britain in Bloom final for the town category.

    We'll find out who the winners are in October.

    Crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are extinguishing the fire in Welton that we told you about earlier.

    At its height 8 crews were battling it.

    All lanes have reopened on Canwick Road after that large fuel spill there earlier today.

    However there is still a bit of a traffic buildup because of the disruption. It's causing congestion to South Park Avenue.

  15. Police investigating hate crime outside of Lincoln Aldipublished at 16:26 BST 8 August 2018

    A woman was subjected to homophobic abuse and then grabbed by the hair outside of a Lincoln supermarket on Wragby Road.

    It happened on Saturday near the disabled parking bays at around 6pm.

    The victim was verbally abused by a woman before being attacked by a man.

    Can you help find the family of 56-year-old David Lee Simpson, external from Winn Court in Grimsby?

    David who had also lived in Cleethorpes for a time, passed away at Diana Princess of Wales hospital on 16 July 2018.
