    Network Rail are warning parents to speak with their children after this picture emerged of a group of kids sitting on a level crossing on the Lincolnshire border.

    Network Rail said the image showed a "complete disregard" for safety.

    It happened in Wing near Stamford where trains pass at 60mph.

    There have been more than 2,000 incidents involving young people on level crossings in five years.

    It happened at 23:00 last night and involved a member of staff and three other men who left the restaurant before police arrived.

    A Bangladeshi restaurant in Boston which once served Prince Harry has been raided by immigration officials.

    The Rose of Bengal could have its alcohol licence revoked or suspended as a result.

    Three men who officers believe to be illegal immigrants were found inside the restaurant, which is in West Street.

    Prince Harry visited the restaurant with friends when he was undergoing pilot training at RAF Cranwell.

    Lincolnshire Police is asking Boston Council to review the licence, with a meeting due to be held next week.

  5. Dogs returned to owners following rescue centre raidpublished at 13:30 BST 8 August 2018

    The RSPCA says it has returned all privately-owned animals which were seized from an animal rescue centre in North Lincolnshire earlier this year.

    More than 100 dogs were taken away to be tested following the RSPCA and police raid at 4Paws in South Killingholme in March.

    At the time, a former employee claimed dogs were left in their own faeces in overcrowded kennels.

    The remaining dogs and cats, who have no owners, will remain in RSPCA and Dogs Trust care until they can be re-homed.

  6. Surge in wasp stings in Lincolnshire, charity claimspublished at 13:03 BST 8 August 2018

    There's been a big rise in the number of people being stung by wasps in Lincolnshire, according to the county's first aiders.

    Over the last weekend, St John Ambulance volunteers had to treat about 30 people at various events across the county.

    That's three times the number of wasp sting victims than they normally have to deal with at this time of year.

    Peter Howie, from the charity, says a number of factors are to blame for the rise:

    The time it takes for ambulances to hand over patients at Lincolnshire's hospitals has halved in the last three months, according to East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS).

    Previously, the county has been branded as having the worst delays in the country.

    But EMAS has now slashed the handover time from 50 to 25 minutes.

    However, Sue Cousland, Lincolnshire manager for EMAS, says there's still more they can do:

    Canwick Road in Lincoln has been closed from the Washingborough Road junction up to the Canwick turn-off because of a large diesel spill.

    A clean-up operation's now under way.

    In the meantime, traffic is being diverted down Washingborough Road.

    An elderly Skegness man has lost thousands of pounds after falling victim to a phone scam by someone claiming to be from the police.

    The 76-year-old victim, from Wainfleet St Mary, received a phone call on Tuesday from someone claiming to be a Det Supt "Felix" from Lincolnshire Police.

    He was told that his bank account had been compromised and that he should withdraw £9,500 in cash. The money was then picked by a "courier".

    Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the man pictured above in the Wainfleet St Mary area, or who recognises him, to get in touch.

    Addicts living in Boston will soon benefit from lottery funding to help their recovery.

    The Double Impact charity says it will spend the £420,000 on helping people with drug and alcohol problems to learn new skills and become more involved with their community.

    The project is due to start in September.

    Fire fighters have dealt with another combine harvester on fire in Lincolnshire.

    Crews were called to Loose Gate Road at Moulton Seas End near Spalding around 11:30 this morning.

    They admit that some patients are having to wait longer to be seen.
