    The government says that no-fly zones for drones around airports will be extended to three miles from next month.

    It follows the chaos at Gatwick before Christmas, when repeated sightings of drones forced the airport to close and disrupted hundreds of flights.

    Michael Kheng, a licensed drone operator in Lincolnshire, says the new rules are a step forward, but he doesn't believe it'll solve the problem.

    It's hoped a new dementia strategy for Lincolnshire will enable more people with the disease to live at home for longer.

    It will also focus on speeding up the time it takes to diagnose the condition.

    The cost of dementia to the NHS is more than that of cancer, heart disease and stroke combined.

    The company running patient transport in Lincolnshire will face health bosses today to discuss its performance.

    Thames Ambulance Service was rated as inadequate in a report, external by the Care Quality Commission, last week.

    Inspectors complained of dirty ambulances, a lack of proper equipment to carry children and a lack of staff training.

    The ambulance service will appear before the Lincolnshire Health Scrutiny Committee, external later.

    Final approval is expected to be given shortly for 35 affordable homes on former allotments in Lincoln.

    Council officers have recommended the plans for the site on Riseholme Road go ahead after it was deemed that demand for allotments was poor.

    A mixture of two and three-bedroom homes are proposed for the site.

    The decision is expected to be made next Wednesday.

    A Lincolnshire woman is calling for specialist pet oxygen masks to be carried on every fire engine in the country.

    Claire Ryan's dog, Scooby, suffered from smoke inhalation in a fire at the family home at Christmas, but was saved by crews using a human oxygen mask.

    But specialist pet ones are known to be more effective.

    As a result, Claire says she's raising money for the charity Smokey Paws, external in a bid to save more animals' lives.

    Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue says it's had three sets of the masks on trial, but in 11 months they have yet to be used.

    Almost 3,500 GP appointments were missed in Lincoln, Gainsborough and the surrounding area in just one month, it's been revealed.

    The figures, from December last year, have prompted health bosses to remind patients that they need to tell their doctors' practice if they can't make their appointment.

    Tornado jets have ripped through Lincolnshire's skies for the final time.

    After seeing active service for the last 40 years, the aircraft are being retired at the end of March.

    Their farewell flypast took in RAF stations at Waddington, Coningsby and Cranwell as well as the military ranges at Donna Nook and Holbeach.

    A man and a woman got out of a car and were aggressive towards another driver in a fit of what police are describing as "road rage" in Lincoln at the weekend.

    The incident happened on Wragby Road, from the direction of Lindum Road near the traffic lights, at about 17:00 on Sunday.

    The couple, who were in a blue Volkswagen Golf, acted aggressively towards the driver of a white Mercedes C-Class.

    The wing mirror of the Mercedes was damaged in the incident.

    Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses.

    Deep sea divers are expected to try and recover the body of North Lincolnshire pilot David Ibbotson next week after the plane he was flying crashed into the English Channel.

    Mr Ibbotson, from Crowle, was flying Cardiff City striker Emiliano Sala when his aircraft crashed.

    His family, who have raised nearly a quarter of a million pounds, made the announcement online via their Go Fund Me page.

    Police have released an image of a man who has been wanted for recall to prison for over two years.

    Scott Harris, 43, has been off Derbyshire Police's radar since 3 February 2017, when he broke the terms of his parole by missing appointments.

    A police spokeswoman said he was originally imprisoned for assault.

    He is described as white, approximately 6ft tall and tattooed.

    He is from Castle Gresley, Derbyshire, but has connections to Humberside, North Lincolnshire and Cleethorpes. Anyone who sees him should call police on 101.

    A man from Lincolnshire's planning to drive from John O'Groats to Lands End in a vintage tractor for charity.

    Kev Chambers, from Algerkirk, is doing it to raise money for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, external.

    He's expecting to cover 1,000 miles in seven days and will start the challenge at the beginning of June.
