David Cameron was met by warm applause as he addressed the crowd and described the rally as a "truly historic moment".
He said: "Prime minister Modi, you can see what I see everyday - British Indians putting the great into Great Britain.
"It won't be long before there's a British Indian prime minister in Downing Street."
A woman who admitted screaming racial abuse at a pregnant Muslim woman has been sentenced to 16 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months.
Simone Joseph, 37, was sentenced at Hendon Magistrates’ court for racially aggravated intentional harassment. Joseph, of Willesden Green, branded three women "Isis bitches" onthe 206 London bus in Brent on 13 October.
The Crown Prosecution Service said the sentence was increased from eight weeks to reflect the racially and religiously aggravated nature of the crime.
Gerallt Evans, CPS London Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor and Hate Crime Lead, said: “One of the victims was heavily pregnant and Joseph threatened to kick her in the stomach, leaving her fearful for her unborn baby."
London's O2 Arena will continue to host the ATP World Tour Finals, external until 2018, it has been announced.
The deal was confirmed by the ATP executive chairman Chris Kermode ahead of the 2015 edition, which begins on Sunday.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone on stage at rally at Wembley Stadium with David Cameron.
Speaking at Wembley Stadium, Delhi correspondent Justin Rowlatt said this was not the first time Mr Modi had played to big crowds. The Indian Prime Minister has played Madison Square Garden, the Olympic Park in Sydney and at an indie dive venue called the Shark Tank in California.
He said: "It's very unusual I can't think of any world leader who commands this kind of huge public celebrations."
Jagraj Singh, from a Sikh educational campaign group called Basics of Sikhi, warned that India was going into a "dangerous place" under Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"We have no problem with the Indians celebrating Indian culture," he told BBC World News at Wembley Stadium.
"The kind of philosophy Mr Modi stands for...is trying to impose Hinduism on all Indians and this is not the India that the Sikhs fought for for independence."
However ,BBC Delhi correspondent Mr Rowlatt added that he asked Mr Modi if India was becoming more intolerant and Mr Modi had denied this saying India was a vibrant democracy and the rights of all Indians are protected.

Indian prime minister Narendra Modi and the Queen have exchanged gifts at Buckingham Palace.
Mr Modi received a silver dish and signed photos of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
He presented the Queen with items from across India including Darjeeling tea, organic honey and silk Tanchoi scarves, as well as photographs of the Queen's 1961 visit to India.

Dancers have been rehearsing for weeks - as much as five hours a day - to prepare for today's performance at Wembley in front of prime minister Narendra Modi.
A number of roads are going to be closed from 07:00 tomorrow around the City of London because of the Lord Mayor's Show, external.

In the advert, a fire breaks out in a home that appears to have no smoke alarms.
Cute, but clumsy and forgetful cat Mog, manages to spark a trail of blazes and luckily dials 999, calling the fire brigade to the rescue.
But London Fire Brigade said: "Sadly not everyone will have a ‘super cat’ like Mog and fire chiefs want everyone to make sure they have working alarms in their homes."
