A 16-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of apolice officer.
PC Guy Sinnott is in a stable condition after being stabbed once in the stomach and once in the leg after attending reports of anti-social behaviour near Bunsen House in Bow, east London, on Sunday night.
Wearing a grey sweater and grey tracksuit trousers the youngster, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was remanded in custody at Stratford Youth Court.
The boy, who is also charged with possession of a bladed item, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.
He will next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 1 December.
Although it will be dry this evening, it will turn very windy for a time with gales or possibly severe gales later on, especially across the North Downs and other areas of high ground.
Winds will ease through the night and it will remain dry albeit rather cloudy.

The head of Bethnal Green Academy, external has said there’s no evidence three of its pupils who fled to Syria earlier this year were radicalised in school.
Mark Keary told MPs on the Home Affairs Committee that huge scrutiny by police and counter-terrorism experts had found no problems with their processes.
He said: “ We still don’t know what caused the radicalisation of the girls. We don’t know what were the principle agents, what made that shift and change.”
The three girlsKadiza Sultana, 16, Shamima Begum, 15, and Amira Abase, 15, from their homes in east London flew to Turkey and then travelled by bus to Syria in February half-term.

Silhan Ozcelik made the remarks in a letter, the Old Bailey heard.

Ofonime Sunday Inuk, 40, told Harrow Crown Court he had arrived in the UK from Nigeria in 1989 when he was 14 and had been made to look after the couple's home and children.
Emmanuel and Antan Edet were found guilty of child cruelty, slavery and assisting unlawful immigration and will be sentenced tomorrow.
Opening the Old Bailey trial, prosecutor Tony Badenoch QC told jurors that when the couple were arrested on 28 May, "substantial quantities of chemicals and bomb-making wherewithal" were recovered from Mr Rehman's home.
Ms Khan had helped buy these chemicals knowing they were to be used to make a bomb, jurors were told.
Mr Badenoch said the pair had a "common interest" in violent and extreme Islamic ideology and had repeatedly researched 7/7 bombers, the court heard.
A terror plot to bomb the London Underground or Westfield shopping centre was foiled shortly before the 10th anniversary of the 7 July attacks, a court heard.
Counter terrorism officers were alerted to the plan after Mohammed Rehman, under the name Silent Bomber, asked Twitter followers for advice on which of the two targets to choose, jurors were told.
Mr Rehman, 25, is on trial at the Old Bailey with his wife Sana Ahmed Khan, 24, charged with preparing terrorist acts on or before May 28 this year. He is also charged with possessing an article for terrorist purposes.
Mr Rehman, of Radstock Road, Reading, and Ms Khan of Hutton Close, Reading, deny the charges.

Plans to create a so-called smart motorway on a 32-mile stretch of the M4 between Theale and London have been labelled "inherently dangerous" by Reading Borough Council.
