  1. Police watchdog to look into fatal Hackney moped chasepublished at 09:22 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2016

    The death of a teenage moped rider following a police chase in Hackney, east London, has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, Met Police has said.

    The vehicle was linked to a suspected theft on Kingsland Road on Tuesday and officers gave chase after spotting the moped with two riders in Stamford Road.

    The vehicle collided with a van in Upper Clapton Road, Hackney, at 11:55. 

    One rider died at the scene while the other remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition, police said.

  4. On Air: Doctors' strike and black cabs demo over Uberpublished at 08:39 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2016

    Vanessa Feltz is discussing the junior doctors strike over new contracts as striking medics will only provide emergency care for the next 24 hours. 

    Also, Uber is trying to end its conflict with London's black cabs by offering to add an option to its taxi-hailing app so that people can choose to book a traditional black cab. 

    Thousands of black cab drivers are expected to protest outside parliament today.

    In Enfield, the A10 Great Cambridge Road is closed southbound from Carterhatch Lane to Southbury Road following a collision. There are queues from the M25.

    The A4 Knightsbridge is closed into town from Scotch Corner to Hyde Park Corner following a collision early this morning, although it will reopen soon.

    The A406 North Circular is queueing westbound from Staples Corner to the works at Neasden.

    Greater Anglia trains have 15-minute delays through London Fields following a signal failure.

    And there are minor delays on the District and Jubilee lines and London Overground following earlier signal failures.
