Announcing the review London mayor Sadiq Khan said with the launch of Night Tube people need to feel safe.
"With the launch of the Night Tube, and our continuing modernisation of London's transport infrastructure, we particularly need to ensure disabled people get the right assistance when they need it, and make sure no-one feels unsafe around our more quiet stations late at night."
The ticket office closures had prompted strikes in the past but Transport for London said it would save £50m annually.
TSSA union general secretary Manuel Cortes said he welcomed the mayor's move to "reverse a stupid decision by Boris Johnson".
"An increase in numbers of passengers whilst axing the ticket offices and putting customer service staff out on to the platforms has increased stresses on the network and made the Tube a less-safe space to work and certainly we have grave concerns about security," he said.
The Mayor of London has ordered a review of the closure of Tube ticket offices in the capital.
Sadiq Khan said independent watchdog London TravelWatch will examine the impact of the closures on passengers and concerns about the move.
The closures, agreed under previous mayor Boris Johnson, led to an industrial dispute with unions.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has criticised the decision to close one of the capital's biggest nightclubs and warned of the decline of the city's nightlife.
Mr Khan said he was "disappointed" Fabric nightclub, Islington Council and the Metropolitan Police had failed to reach an agreement, after police raised concerns about drugs on the premises.
The council revoked the Farringdon venue's licence in the early hours of today, after finding it had a "culture of drug use" which staff were "incapable of controlling".
The decision has been labelled "archaic" and "a devastating blow for London" by figures from the music world.
The club closed temporarily after the deaths of two teenagers from suspected drug overdoses earlier this year, and last month the Met applied to the council for the licence to be reviewed.
