Arsenal in control here and the feeling remains that this FA Cup tie is only heading one way - but the reaction of Sutton United's fans at half-time suggests they stlll think they have real hope.

And why not? Sutton were presented with a real chance moments before the break after David Ospina's poor clearance let in Adam May. A big chance wasted.

Sutton manager Paul Doswell gathered his team around him during a break in play just to lift their spirits and remind them that it is still early days. The problem for the National League side is they will now have to take more risks, leaving them open to Arsenal's pace.

Not much in this so far. Sutton are dogged as they try to build attacks of their own while Arsenal's threat has come from the extra zip they possess going forward, although The Gunners have had some problems with this heavily-watered artificial surface.#

Sutton United will be very happy with this opening phase.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was almost lost amid the swarm of photographers around his dug-out here at Gander Green Lane - never a great sign unless it's your first match in charge.

In Wenger's case, it is a sign of the scrutiny he is currently under, especially after that 5-1 defeat by Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.
