    An investigation into the cause of a huge fire at an old coal depot in West Drayton is continuing, the London Fire Brigade has said.

    Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to the blaze which happened at 14:16 BST on Tavistock Road.

    Train lines were temporarily shut while crews tackled the fire which was described by LFB's Jon Holt as "very visible".

    Around 15 people left the depot site before firefighters arrived, and there have been no reports of any injuries.

    Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says he expects on-loan striker Gonzalo Higuain to remain with the Blues next season.

    The Argentine, 31, has scored four goals in 12 starts and two substitute appearances since joining Chelsea from Juventus on loan in January.

    Asked if Higuain would stay at Stamford Bridge, Sarri replied: "In theory, yes.

    "It's difficult to adapt to the Premier League. I think in the next season he will be able to score a lot."

  12. London Underground noise levels revealedpublished at 09:18 British Summer Time 29 April 2019

    A group of campaigners set themselves a task of measuring how noisy each journey was on the London Underground.

    They found noise levels on some Tube routes reached 100 decibels - which the audiologists say is harmful to commuters' hearing.

    Transport for London (TfL) is being encouraged to put up warning signs in parts of the Underground network where noise levels are high.

    However, TfL says Health and Safety Executive guidance suggests Tube noise is highly unlikely to cause long-term hearing damage.

    Until further notice, there is a reduced service on the London Underground between Gospel Oak and Barking.

    A temporary timetable is in place, with four car trains running every 30 minutes.

    Supplementary bus services will also run.
