    • Carrington Road in Carrington closed in both directions between Lansdowne Road and Carrington Lane, because of flooding  
    • Huddersfield Road in Stalybridge closed in both directions at the Grove Road junction, because of flooding
    • Peover Lane in Chelford closed in both directions between Snelson Lane and Chelford Roundabout, because of flooding

    Wind and rain has battered parts of England and Wales, including Greater Manchester, in the wake of Storm Angus, which has caused flash flooding and travel chaos.

    People in Stalybridge, Tameside, (pictured above) have been caught up in the flooding.  

    The Environment Agency has 75 flood warnings in place, external - meaning flooding is expected and immediate action is required - in England and Wales, with a further 217 flood alerts, meaning flooding is possible.
