Cloud will increase bringing some outbreaks of rain this evening, heavy at times, before clearing away later tonight, introducing drier and cooler weather with some clear spells.
Tuesday will be cloudy with heavy rain spreading northwards during the day.
It will become very windy through the evening particularly along the coast towards Formby and Southport, with further rain, before becoming drier later in the night.

A 34-year-old woman has been charged after money was stolen from a disabled man at a Liverpool newsagent.
Police said two women stole cash from the 64-year-old man at the shop on Lower House Lane, Croxteth, on 3 November.
The woman has been charged with theft and released on bail.

The death of a man who Merseyside officers tried to take to hospital has been referred to the police watchdog.
Officers were called to reports the man was having a "medical episode" at a house in Cassley Road in Speke early on Sunday.
They decided to take him to hospital in their vehicle but later called for an ambulance when he deteriorated.
Merseyside Police referred itself to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Merseyside could get two new mental health hospitals as part of a massive investment in psychiatric care, external.

A Liverpool care home has been placed in special measures following an inspection that found the premises were "unsafe and potentially dangerous".
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) made four unannounced visits to Bentley Care Home in September and October.
It rated the Bentley Road home as inadequate, saying fire escape routes were blocked and fire doors did not work.
The owners say "immediate action" has been taken to make improvements.

The BBC has been told a fight between two rival gangs had been arranged in the same area in Liverpool where a teenage boy was shot dead last night.
The 16-year-old was found on the towpath near to Burrows Court in the Eldonian Village just after 23:00 last night.
Forensic experts are at the scene - police say they don't yet have a motive for the murder.

A book of condolence has opened at Liverpool Town Hall for the victims of the Paris attacks.
It comes after people across the city observed a one-minute silence this morning.
The book will be open Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00 and on Saturday and Sunday between 12.00 - 16:00. The book closes on Sunday.
A one-minute silence was observed across Sefton this morning, with the Atkinson Building in Southport being lit up in the colours of the Tricolore.
A spokesman for Sefton Council said: "Sefton Council has been remembering those who lost their lives in Paris last week.
"As a mark of respect and expression of solidarity, flags at Southport, Waterloo and Bootle Town Halls have been lowered to half-mast."
