The catacombs at Anfield Cemetery are to have almost £330,000 spent on them.
The money from Historic England and Liverpool City Council will see the underground burial spaces, which were filled in during the 1990s, restored and eventually included as part of the tours run by the Friends of the Cemetery.
The Merseyside devolution deal has been signed by City Region leaders - making it the sixth region to agree a settlement, which gives its political leaders wide-ranging powers.
It means a metro mayor, who will be elected in 2017, will have sweeping powers over strategic planning and transport.
It still needs to be ratified by all councils on the City Region Combined Authority - this is due to happen on Thursday.
