This evening will be mostly cloudy, with patchy light rain and drizzle in the east of the region. Elsewhere, it will be mostly dry with clear spells, with a slight frost possible overnight, most likely in sheltered rural spots on the Wirral.

A section of the A533 Queensway in Widnes, known locally as the Ditton Flyover, which links Speke Road to the Silver Jubilee Bridge, will be permanently closed from 19:30 on the evening of 28 March 2016.

Flowers and messages have also been left at the city's Cavern Club and a book of condolence has opened at The Beatles Story.
The message reads at Strawberry Fields reads: "George, We will miss you. Thank you for the sounds of our youth. Clemens."
George Martin, who has died aged 90, played a key role in defining the sound of British pop music.
His career spanned five decades, and in that time he produced more than 700 records, wrote film scores and worked with music's greatest talents.
His greatest success came with the Beatles; from the loveable mop-top recordings of the early 1960s to the acid-drenched psychedelia of Sergeant Pepper.
