The tax office in Norwich is to close as part of the HM Revenue and Customs', external restructuring plans.
It's one of 15 offices in the East of England to shut as part of HMRC's plans to close all of its offices UK-wide in favour of 13 new regional tax centres.
The earliest closures will be by March 2017, and this includes the Norwich office.

Diasbled anglers are being encouraged to take advantage of a specially-designed wheelie boat on the Broads.
The roll-on, roll-off bow ramp and level deck means wheelchair users can enjoy the freedom of being on the water without having an escort.
The boat was launched by the Environment Agency, external in partnership with the Norwich and District Pike Club, external. One of those who've enjoyed its use is Iraq veteran Chris Baker (pictured) who had a five-hour trip on the Broads.

High-flying graduates in maths, sciences and foreign languages in southern Europe are being offered up to £30,000 tax-free to train as teachers in Norfolk to address a shortage.
Candidates will be given subsidised flights and accommodation for a two-week school trial in the New Year.

Emergency services are at the scene. Norfolk police advise people to avoid the area whilst the incident is dealt with.

Plans for 200 properties in the village of Sculthorpe are being discussed by North Norfolk District Council.
There are nearly 200 objections to the proposed development, which is adjacent to a nature reserve.

Brian the cat is definitely not like other cats, for this furry feline has three ears.
As reported in today's Eastern Daily Press, external, Brian is being cared for by Feline Care Cat Rescue, external in East Harling after being found at an industrial site nearby.
Molly Farrar, manager of the centre, says she's seen plenty of cats with three legs but not one with three ears, and says Brian is "quite special".

Cricketer Olly Stone and swimmer Jessica-Jane Applegate were named male and female Sports Personality of the Year at the Norfolk Sports Awards, external last night.
Stone, 22, was a regular for Northants in the County Championship last season and was called up to England's Elite Performance Programme.
Applegate, 19, is a Paralympic gold medallist who qualified for an able-bodied event for the first time this year. Wheelchair tennis star Alfie Hewett, 17, won the Junior Sports Personality award.

Norfolk police, external have arrested two people following an incident in Norwich yesterday when a man sustained an injury to his chest.
Two men, aged 32 and 29, were taken into custody yesterday afternoon.
The victim suffered a puncture wound to his chest, in an altercation in the College Road area.
"It's a testament to the hard work of our staff", says James Paget Hospital chief executive Christine Allen.
She was speaking after the latest Care Quality Commission inspection, external ranked the hospital as "good" overall.

The James Paget Hospital, external in Gorleston has been rated "good" for the quality of care it provides.
The Care Quality Commission, external report says staff hospital "were exceptionally caring" and wards were clean with good infection control.
But the report did find some areas of concern such as the quality of end-of-life care and patient record-keeping.
