    By the time the Canaries kick-off their match at Arsenal tomorrow, their main relegation rivals Newcastle and Sunderland will have already played.

    Speaking ahead of tomorrow's game, manager Alex Neil said: "We're capable of beating them... it's just a case of going there and doing it."

    The pre-match press conference, ahead of Norwich City's away game to Arsenal tomorrow, will start soon. 

    Norwich are currently third from bottom in the Premier League, facing relegation.

    With their match kicking off at 17:30 - after the Sunderland and Newcastle games - the Canaries could find themselves in a worse position before their game even starts.

    A 60% increase in otters in Norfolk's waterways since the 1970s is causing problems for fishery owners in the county.

    Farmers say they're having to invest in expensive fencing to stop the mammals from eating their stocks. Otters are a protected species, so not much can be done to stop them.

    With a big growth in the number of fisheries, Geoff Doggett, of the River Waveney Trust, external, says it's a fact of life that when "running your own business... you'll have to invest to keep your stock safe."

    The leader of Great Yarmouth Borough Council, external says the removal of cobbles from the seafront has turned the area into a racetrack.

    Granite cobbles laid 10 years ago have been dug up and replaced as part of a regeneration scheme, but Graham Plant said they were needed to make the town look better, and slow traffic down in a pedestrian area. 

    The county council says the stone cobbles were faulty and becoming dangerous.

    UKIP's candidate for Norfolk's Police and Crime Commissioner has said retired police should be brought back into service.

    Taking part in a BBC Radio Norfolk debate, David Moreland, a former Metropolitian Police detective, said retired officers were a huge asset who could be utilised. Mr Moreland claims they wouldn't even want to be paid that much for doing it.

  10. Martial artist's invention wins national awardpublished at 11:08 British Summer Time 29 April 2016

    A Norfolk martial artist's invention has won him a national award.

    Kevin Franklin, from Thorpe St Andrew, took seven years to develop "StrikeMate, external", which measures the force of punches and kicks, without any risk of injury to the person using it. It's been named Product of the Year at the British Martial Arts Awards.

    Mr Franklin says it can be used in anything from rugby through to combat sports, enabling participants to find out which techniques work and which don't.
