    Graphic of woman hurting man

Clare's Law was introduced in March 2014 in memory of Clare Wood, who was murdered by her partner.

It means the public can ask their local police force if they should be made aware of any history of violence.

Ian McNicholl, a survivor of domestic abuse and the charity's patron says: "This piece of legislation which is gender inclusive, if it was labelled correctly then we wouldn't simply be relying on the man himself to report this type of crime.

"Friends and family members, work colleagues and people in the neighbourhood will then quite rightly look out for their male counterparts too."

The county's Police and Crime Comissioner Lorne Green says about 15% of domestic abuse, external involves men and he's urging men "not to suffer in silence" but to use the law and report any crime.
