Magistrates have granted investigators an extra three months to track down a woman charged with breaching court orders resulting from animal cruelty.
Amanda Adams, formerly of Linton Road, Walcott, is accused of keeping Irish wolfhounds despite being given two previous banning orders.
The case was reconvened at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court from a hearing a month ago, which was adjourned because Ms Adams didn't appear at court.
This time it was the same situation, with the RSPCA saying it believes she is living in County Kerry in the Republic of Ireland, but cannot find her.
With the RSPCA unable to prove she has received the summons to appear in court, the trial cannot proceed.
Jonathan Eales, representing the RSPCA, asked magistrates for another three months to track down Ms Adams.
Magistrates agreed to adjourn the case until November, but Mr Eales said if she could not be tracked down by then the RSPCA was likely to return to court to drop the proceedings, adding: "We cannot go on for ever."
A second man arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in Norwich has been released under investigation.

A woman and two men were subsequently arrested at an address in Windsor Road, Lowestoft.
The woman, in her late teens, and a man in his 30s, have been released under investigation while inquires continue.
As we've reported this morning Danny Williams, 26, who lives at another address in Godric Place, appeared before Norwich magistrates this morning charged with murder.
He was remanded in custody and will appear before Norwich Crown Court tomorrow.

You may remember our story last week about Hannah Griffiths, the mermaid from Norwich who was heading to landlocked Northampton in a bid to be crowned Miss Mermaid UK at the weekend.
Sadly it was not to be.
Hannah didn't win the main title, but she did win the secondary title of Miss Mermaid Charity for her fundraising work for marine conservation - and retains the title of Miss Mermaid Norfolk.
It was a tough competition, says Hannah, and an incredible event.
"The girls were unbelievable... they were mer-mazing, they looked mer-mazing in the underwater photo shoot, and were deserving winners," she said.
Hannah doesn't have any plans to hang up her tail just yet. On Sunday, she took part in a mermaid training party, entertaining 40 chidlren in a swimming pool.
Quote MessageThis is now what I can go forward and do, the kids' faces were brilliant, they loved seeing us all in the tails... now we've had the training we can run our own swim pool parties."

It is hoped the use of drones in Norfolk will save the police force money.
The drones, otherwise known as unmanned aerial systems, are being trialled by officers for three months to help them on operations.
The force says to fund the two drones and to train four pilots costs less than £8,000, whereas the police helicopter - which is based outside the county - costs £1,300 each time it's deployed.
Sgt Danny Leach, one of the operators trained to use the flying machines, says they can get on a blue-light response to most parts of the county quicker than the helicopter deploying from its base.
He says they are not intended to replace the police helicopter entirely, but to work alongside it.
Quote MessageThe helicopter will suit a number of purposes and the drone can fill in a number of gaps... it we can successfully deploy to just six incidents we'd have saved enough money to pay for them again."

Norfolk police have a new way of tackling crime.
They are to use drones on a three-month trial. The unmanned aerial systems will be used to take pictures of crime scenes, give an overview of an incident that's taking place, and in the search for missing people.
The force has two drones which can downlink live footage to the control room, and can stay in the air for up to 20 minutes at a time before requiring a battery change.
They have been tested over a number of months on police operations, road traffic incidents and at events.
There are four trained drone operators in the force, who are licensed by the CAA, and they will deploy to incidents in marked vehicles with signage.
Det Supt Nick Dean says the drones will be used for overt operations, and there will be a drone observer with each pilot.
Quote MessageThe use of drones is strictly authorised. They won't be spying on anyone in the back garden for no specific reasons; they'll be used for operational purposes."
