    The pub has now made a special area for flowers and opened a book of remembrance for the community to pay their respects.

    A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after police searching for Miss Chipcase found a body in a house.

    The Northampton Town Supporters Trust has ended their consultation on how their £37,000 'fighting fund' for the club should be spent.

    The money was raised when the club was in a precarious financial position, before the Kelvin Thomas takeover with about £10,000 used before the takeover as a loan to the club to support non-playing staff.

    The trust will discuss the ideas submitted during the consultation at their next board meeting on 11 February.

    People have been laying floral tributes to India Chipchase outside the pub in Collingtree where she worked.

    Continuing the sentencing of Northamptonshire police officer Adrian 'Otis' Goldsmith, Judge Paul Glenn said his wife "must have been in terror as she fought for her life, as I am satisfied she did".

    He murdered 49-year-old Jill Goldsmith at their home in Northampton last March. She was found dead in a foetal position in a pool of blood in their porch.

    A Stafford Crown Court jury dismissed his claim that he acted in self-defence after he admitted in court that he stabbed himself.

    A Northamptonshire police officer who murdered his wife and claimed to colleagues he'd killed her in self defence has been jailed for life.

    The 50-year-old was found guilty of beating his wife to death using a can of paint, a battery and a mallet by a jury at Stafford Crown Court on Friday.
