    India Chipchase had been on a night out with friends before she went missing in the early hours of Saturday morning.

    The 20-year-old was last seen in Bridge Street, Northampton, at about 01:15.

    Police said Ms Chipchase was white, about 5ft 3in tall and of a "slim build". She was wearing black jeans, a long sleeved green crop top and black gilet when she was last seen.

    Police appealed for information about India Chipchase 36 hours after she went missing during a night out in Northampton.

    At 12:52 yesterday police said it was "out of character" for Ms Chipchase not to have made contact with friends and family, and "out of the ordinary" for her not to arrive at work on Saturday afternoon.

    A press release sent nine hours later said officers searching for Ms Chipchase had found a body in Stanley Road, St James.

    Northampton Town Football Club gave a company owned by the developer in charge of the redevelopment of Sixfields responsibility to lead negotiations with Northampton Borough Council over a £10.25m loan, according to a document lodged with the High Court.

    It describes how Howard Grossman, Marcus Grossman and Simon Patnick, who all worked for County Group, “arranged for monies to be paid by NBC to the County Group via NTFC at a time when such monies were not contractually due to County Group”.

    Mr Patnick, Marcus Grossman and Mr Hewitt also received £1.09m in “consultancy payments”. Through their solicitor they said the payments were for "legitimate services to the company as consultants".

    It was just after 22:00 last night that Northamptonshire Police announced a body had been found by officers searching for missing 20-year-old India Chipchase.

    Developer Howard Grossman has rejected a claim of “dishonest association” made in High Court papers in relation to the £10.25m loan from Northampton Borough Council to Northampton Town FC.

    In a witness statement, Mr Grossman said the allegations of wrongdoing in the papers lodged by the Cobblers, who were trying to establish what had happened to the loan money and to try to recover it, were “outrageous and deeply offensive”.

    The claim was settled out of court and the parties signed a non-disclosure agreement.

    A BBC investigation into Northampton Borough Council’s £10.25m loan to Northampton Town has detailed where the money went – with £8.75m being transferred by the club to developer 1st Land Ltd and County (Oundle) Ltd, both owned by Howard Grossman.

    Northampton Borough Council lent Northampton Town £10.25m for work including a new stand, hotel and conference centre, none of which has been completed.

    Documents submitted to the High Court contain allegations developer Howard Grossman and his associates, who deny the claim, used a “substantial part” of the money for unrelated purposes.
