I understand there will be no statement on an investigation into the George North injury this week.

TV replays appeared to show North lying motionless after a fall in Saints' game with Leicester a fortnight ago, but he returned to play after passing a pitch-side assessment.

A concussion review group was formed to investigate the handling of the case, and if Saints have a case to answer.

A conclusion to their investigation was expected this week, but it will now be next week.

    Peter Bone

The wearing of a hat is in fact a breach of Commons rules, and he was rebuked by the Speaker of the House John Bercow, who told him not to wear the hat again "in the chamber".

Mr Bone was actually asking the Leader of the House of Commons David Lidington what more could be done to support local charities, including Crazy Hats which raises money for breast cancer care in Northamptonshire.

In reply, Mr Lidington initially said he thought the Wellingborough MP was "auditioning for some remake of the film Elf", but said "improvements in the Gift Aid scheme" had helped smaller charities and there was further legislation coming to support them.
