The Princess Royal is visiting the county today, less than a fortnight after her last trip here.
She arrived by helicopter at the University of Northampton earlier and visited the town's gymnastics academy before moving on to the Adrenaline Alley skate park in Corby.
The centre was set up by Mandy Young and her husband Paul after their son, John, was attacked while a teenager because he was carrying a skateboard.
Paul died at the age of 24 and the park is run as a community charity in his memory. The princess is currently meeting the people who work there.

Apprentices at Corby Borough Council could see their pay cut by a third under plans to stop paying them the National Living Wage.
The proposal is to make sure employees who provide training to apprentices are paid more than the people they're training.
Corby Borough Council currently employs 10 apprentices, though it's looking for more, and apprentices in Corby are well paid compared to other local authorities.
They currently get the National Living Wage of £8.45 per hour, as set by the Living Wage Foundation. Some local authorities pay as low as £3.30 an hour.
According to a report to councillors, some employees are getting the same rate of pay as the apprentices they're helping train.
The proposal is to reduce the wage of future apprentices to £5.60 in their first year. The council says the unions agree.
A decision is due to be made at a meeting tomorrow.

Kettering Borough Council says its approach at dealing with anti-social behaviour aims to improve the town centre for people who live, work or visit there.
Ten people have been found guilty of not paying fixed penalty notices for either drinking or begging under Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO).
Campaigners call the orders "draconian" and the local Labour group says it leads to vulnerable people being fined.
Shirley Plenderleith, head of public services at Kettering Borough Council, said: "The PSPO gives powers of enforcement to allow us to tackle issues that are particularly relevant to Kettering town centre.
"The CBOs [Criminal Behaviour Orders] issued will help prevent this behaviour with the threat of a prison sentence for re-offenders.
"The council, together with Northamptonshire Police, are seeking to improve the quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors to the town."

Kettering Borough Council introduced Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO) in July last year, banning the following in the town centre:
The Manifesto Club, which campaigns against excessive regulation of everyday life, has called the PSPO "draconian and entirely unnecessary".
Director, Josie Appleton, said: "Every item in the PSPO targets the kind of behaviour that in itself isn't actually harmful.
"Begging, putting your hat out, doesn't harm anyone.
"It's taking criminal law into an area it really shouldn't be and the result is you end up with abuses of power and it doesn't solve anti-social behaviour or homelessness."

Ten people have been found guilty of not paying £100 fixed penalty notices for either drinking or begging in Kettering town centre.
The fines were handed out under Public Space Protection Order powers, which the borough council brought in last July to try and tackle anti-social behaviour.
The offenders have now been ordered to pay between £380 and £1,100 and given Criminal Behaviour Orders, banning them from drinking alcohol in public.
Maggie Don, deputy leader of the opposition Labour group on the borough council, said fining people risked doing more harm than good.
She said: "We do have a problem. We have a number of people sleeping rough.
"It's not that the borough council aren't doing anything.
"They are working hard to try and help these people, to support them, to get them back into work, but fining people isn't going to make a difference.
"A lot of these people really need some help. It's about mental health services. If they're alcoholics, there are no support systems in place for them these days."

Police are still hunting for a man believed to have been involved in a two vehicle crash on the A605 near Peterborough on Sunday, which left two men dead and a woman in hospital.
The cars crashed near Elton just after 02:00 yesterday.
Ch Insp Mike Hills said: "We believe there were four people in one of the vehicles at the time of the collision; three men and a woman.
"I'm appealing directly to the [remaining] man to get in touch with us to let us know he is OK. We are concerned that he may be seriously injured and will need urgent medical assistance."
The driver of the second vehicle, a man in his 50s, suffered minor injuries, police said.
The road was closed all day and only reopened last night.

A couple convicted of carrying out a decade of sex and drug abuse against children, including rape, are to be sentenced this afternoon.
Nicholas Taylor, 47, and Joan Taylor, 43, targeted children as young as 11 and supplied them with crack cocaine.
The 84 offences occurred between 1996 and 2006, Leicester Crown Court was told.
Taylor, who had previous convictions for indecency, and his wife, a former prostitute, pleaded guilty to 10 charges.
Speaking at the end of the trial in March, Det Insp Adam Pendlebury from Northamptonshire Police praised the "extraordinary courage" of the Taylors' 11 victims.
He said: "The Taylors were master manipulators who used crack cocaine to force their victims to engage in sexual activity against their will and their actions have had a devastating impact on their victims' lives."
