    A few showers are continuing into the evening and overnight but most will clear away by dawn. 

    There will be some patchy mist and fog forming but we will stay frost free tonight with a minimum temperature of 4C (39F).

  4. Bassetlaw's role in devolution planpublished at 17:40

    The district of Bassetlaw is one of those areas which features in the 'North Midlands' devolution plan, but also in the Sheffield City Region Combined Authority - along with Bolsover in Derbyshire.

    So as I understand it, if you live there you will only have a member sitting in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire combined authority, but will also get the chance to have a say on things happening across the border in Yorkshire.

    This is why people like Bassetlaw MP, John Mann, are strongly against the plans which have been released today.

    In his blog, external he says there was nothing in the deal for residents and he could see the Bassetlaw Hospital close in a few years time.

    The stand-off between the homeless people camping in Station Street and Cliff Road and the city council continues for another day.

    John who has been manning the camp told us: "We want to get everybody housed and we want a building. We can't be living like this no more."

    "There's many homeless people on the sites and the council are saying we've got none," he added. "We're not protesting either, we are keeping it nice and calm."  

    Nottingham City Council has not put anyone up for interview with the BBC but say they are still intending to seek another order to close down the second camp in Cliff Road.

    Pepper appeared at Nottingham Crown Court today after he pleaded guilty to two counts of actual bodily harm (ABH) and five counts of common assault on 9 December.

    His accomplices, Pascoe and Jepson, were jailed last month for four years and two-and-a-half years respectively.

  8. Devolution deal: What is the 'North Midlands'?published at 17:20

    Renaming an area shared between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire seems like a crazy idea, but it's actually not something new.

    The name has been around for about 130 years when the North Midland Division was defined in the 1881 census as Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

    In 1939, even Peterborough was included in the North Midland region and the High Peak area of Derbyshire was dropped, later reinstated and then dropped again. 

    Sheffield was even described as being part of the North Midlands in a book about the north of England from the 1960s. 

  9. Man jailed for beating woman kept as slavepublished at 17:08

    A man who repeatedly beat an enslaved woman with learning difficulties has been jailed for 27 months.

    Andrew Pepper, 26, formerly of Amesbury Circus, Broxtowe, joined Gavin Pascoe and Vicki Jepson in dishing out cruelty to the 24-year-old while she was kept as a slave for five months in Aspley.

    Pepper took part in the violent attacks against the woman, which dated back to August 2014.

  10. Golf club 'hit by vandals before'published at 16:53

    Manager at the Notts Golf Club, Martin Bonner, says this isn't the first time they have had motorcyclists driving on their greens.

    "We have had isolated incidents before where they have driven across the green or fairway," he said.

    "But this is the first time they have come in and caused this much damage."

  12. Golf course damage witnesses urged to come forwardpublished at 16:28

    Here's what the 12th green at Notts Golf Club in Hollinwell looked like before it was damaged by motorcyclists.

    The incident happened on Sunday some time before lunch.

    A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said they were "liaising with the owners of the golf course" and they asked anyone with information about the damage to come forward.

    So what does the devolution deal mean for Nottinghamshire?

    There's been months of discussions on this and the councils have laid out 10 points in the document, external about what the powers for an elected mayor include and have committed to creating:

    • 55,000 new jobs
    • 77,000 new homes
    • Money for roads and bridges
    • More apprenticeships 
    • The introduction of Oyster-style cards for public transport - which already exists in Nottingham as the Robin Hood card.

    The leader of Nottingham City Council has been giving his thoughts on the devolution deal for Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
