    According to the camp of homeless people at Cliff Road in Nottingham, four people have now been offered a house by a private landlord.  

  2. No Notts approach for Sheridan - Newportpublished at 09:41

    Newport County say they have not received an approach from League Two rivals Notts County for boss John Sheridan.

    Notts are managerless after parting company with Ricardo Moniz and have been strongly linked with Sheridan, 51.

    But Exiles director Gavin Foxall told BBC Radio Wales: "We've not been approached by Notts County, and nor has John as far as we're aware. He's focused with us."

    This is what the golf course looked like at Hollinwell yesterday.

    The course, near Mansfield, is ranked as one of the top 100 in England and the damage is now expected to cost thousands to repair.

    The club says they have had an issue with motorbikes entering the grounds but this was the worst incident they had seen.

    First this morning one of Nottinghamshire's most famous golf courses has been vandalised by motorbikes - and it's not looking in great shape.

    We'll hear from the club captain at Notts Golf Club, in Hollinwell, who has been totalling up how much the repairs will cost.

  7. Firefighters called to city centre flat firepublished at 08:08

    Fifteen firefighters have been dealing with a fire at a building in Nottingham city centre this morning.

    The fire service said the small fire in an apartment at Nottingham One was put out in the last half hour.

    Canal Street was partially blocked at the time and while the fire engines have now left traffic is still heavy.
