  2. Hike in council tax on the cards

    Not the best news to start the day - households in Nottinghamshire are facing the biggest rise in council tax in almost a decade.

    The city council has already announced an increase of just under 4% and now the county council wants to do the same. 

    The authority says it has no choice because its funding settlement from the government was "worse than the worst case scenario".
