A spokeswoman said they had been made aware of the charges by police this morning and would not be commenting any further at this time.

BBC News OnlineNottinghamshire County Council says that since changes to the Localism Act 2011, , externalthey no longer have the power to suspend councillors.
Therefore Jason Zadrozny will not be disqualified from his councillor role unless he is later sentenced to a jail term of three months or more, or given a suspended sentence.

They had appealed for help to confirm who the man was as he had no identification on him and are now in the process of contacting his family.

FacebookThe issue of data protection has raised some eyebrows today with some people on Facebook, external finding it a bizarre rule when Harry Whitehouse couldn't find out which hospital his mum was at.
Diane Powell wrote: "Data protection taken to another level it's a joke I had the same problem with my mum."

If it wasn't in place anyone could ring the ambulance service or hospital and ask about anyone. It's wrong that he couldn't find her but the ambulance service can not be blamed for the laws they have to abide by."

The 35 year-old is currently leader of the Ashfield Independents on both the district and county councils.

BBC Radio NottinghamA man who stabbed a teenager to death in Nottingham nine years ago has lost an appeal to have his sentence reduced.
Rueben Valentine stabbed 17-year-old Jason Spencer (pictured) eight times - twice through the heart - after his jacket was ripped during a "play fight".
Lawyers in the High Court said Valentine, who is now 26, has won academic awards in jail and "become a tower of strength" to grieving prisoners.
Back in October 2007, he admitted murdering Jason - and was jailed for life with a minimum of 16 years.

BBC News OnlineSo we have now heard from EMAS in the case of the woman who was "lost" in the system for 18 hours, according to her son.
They said they "have a legal duty not to disclose patient confidential information".
A statement from a spokesman continued: "The operator correctly declined to provide any details to Mr Whitehouse but did advise him that patients from Farndon are taken to the QMC and suggested he contact them.”
