    Not a good weekend for the Nottingham Panthers, whose title hopes suffered real blows with two Elite League defeats out of two over the weekend.

    Panthers followed up a home loss to Belfast on Friday with a 4-2 defeat at Braehead Clan last night. 

    David Clarke and Robert Farmer scored for Panthers, who end the weekend six points behind leaders Cardiff with a game in hand - but with only seven games to go.

    A couple from Clifton say they woke up to scenes of carnage after a car crashed into their home this morning.

    It happened at 01:00.

    Police say they are investigating and a number of people have been arrested.

    There are a few accidents around this morning so check your journey before you travel.

    London Road in Retford is closed, in both directions, between Goosemoor Lane and Grove Church Road.

    There are also long delays on the M1 between J25 and 24a because of a multi-vehicle accident and oil spillage.
