    There will be a couple of light showers overnight but many areas will be dry.

    Police investigating a serious sexual assault on a woman in Lenton have appealed for anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward, external.

    A 22-year-old woman was attacked in the Derby Road / Faraday Road area last Monday, between 21:45 and midnight.

    Health bosses say the Willows Medical Centre might not reopen for up to three months.

    Inspectors for the CQC say concerns about patient safety were raised during a visit to the Willows Medical Centre in Carlton a week ago but they cannot give any more details because of legal issues.

    Hazel Buchannon, director of Nottingham's North and East Clinical Commissioning Group said: "I fully appreciate patients are very concerned but unfortunately we cannot give out any more details because the CQC is carrying out their investigation.

    "We are sorry this has happened but patient safety is absolutely paramount."

    Whaddya know?! It rained at the English seaside in June..!! 

    Notts were at Blackpool to play Lancashire in the one-day cup but the match had to be abandoned because of the weather, leaving each side with a point. 

    They DID start. Harry Gurney got a wicket as Lancashire reached 157 for 1 in 33 overs...but that's as far as they got.

    Good news for some of the motorists who have been affected by the M1 closure near Leicestershire since yesterday.

    It has REOPENED.

    Police said the man had come down safely from the motorway sign.

  12. Police still trying to coax man downpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 13 June 2016

    Police say the M1 southbound between junctions 23a and 22, near Leicestershire remains closed, external this afternoon.

    It has been shut since yesterday lunchtime when a man scaled a ladder and "climbed into the stanchion" over the southbound carriageway.

    Assistant Chief Constable Phil Kay from Leicestershire Police said officers were continuing to coax the man down and "bring the situation to a safe conclusion".

    He said he had "the greatest of sympathy" with people who's journeys had been affected but their "primary responsibility is the safety of the man himself", officers at the scene, and all road users."

    As Download Festival finishes for another year BBC Newsbeat has been looking at how many tickets were sold for British festivals and gigs last year.

    In the East Midlands, £162m was generated thanks to 360,000 visitors to festivals and gigs in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, which helped support 2,021 jobs in the area as well.

    The man who was stabbed outside the Stadium pub in Basford in the early hours of Sunday morning suffered serious injuries.

    A police spokeswoman said he remains in a stable condition in hospital.

    Crescent Primary School in Mansfield is closed today because of water damage in five classrooms. 

    A spokeswoman from the county council said the heavy rain on Friday had led to water leaking into the classrooms.

    She said while they had managed to save the furniture from serious damage, the carpets were wet. The school will reopen on Tuesday.
