Sarah Jayne O'Kane from Severn Trent has been telling BBC Radio Nottingham they are not sure why the pipe in Station Road, Plumtree has burst again (It happened again in July) but she said they would investigate.
She said: "When it happens more than once it could mean the pipes might be old and need replacing.
"We will try to come up with a solution to make sure it doesn't happen again."

Six teenagers who were arrested in connection with a stabbing at King George Park in Aspley on Monday have been bailed pending further enquiries.
The 19-year-old victim is still receiving treatment at the QMC although police said his injuries "are not life-threatening or altering".

Remember the fire at an industrial unit in Walesby?
Well the fire service says it has finally finished putting out the fire and is handing the site over to the on-site contractors.
The fire completely destroyed this building and the contents inside back in September but has taken months to burn out.

Severn Trent says the burst water main in Station Road, Plumtree has now been repaired.
It said water should now be restored to most properties but repairs need to be carried out on the road before it can reopen.

Ms Tylen is due to finish her cycling challenge on 1 January.
The last record was set in 1938 by a British woman called Billie Fleming who wanted to ride as far as she could in a year, clocking up 29,603 miles to promote a healthy lifestyle for women.

Ms Tylen has been cycling 85 miles a day and says she has only had one day off sick so far.
With two months left to go until the end of her challenge she said she was not sure why she even started it.
"The record itself just appealed to me....It has been really hard," she said.
"I've taken a sabbatical off work and have done nothing else all year - it's become my life now."
Kajsa Tylen from Nottingham spoke to BBC Radio Nottingham earlier about her world record attempt to cycle the furthest distance by a woman in a year.
She's trying to cycle 36,000 miles and started her challenge in January.

This all began with the the scandal of Stafford hospital and the fallout from the Francis report was fresh scrutiny of hospitals.
Those with unusually high death rates were put in "special measures" and for Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust it meant talk of takeover, big management changes and a dent to morale at a time when hospitals are competing to keep and attract staff.
It has been a long three years getting out of special measures which involved extra oversight scrutiny and uncertainty of the future. This is the start of a new chapter.

The 34-year-old took the train from Worksop to Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire and stayed at a guest house there before she vanished.

Our colleagues down in Bedfordshire have written an update on the rail issues in Luton.
A spokesman for Thameslink, which covers the south, said they expected the problems to "continue right through to the end of the day".

If you've been hit by delays on the trains going to London today, this is the cable in Luton that's caused the problems.
Network Rail said a piece of cable "came into contact with the overhead wires" yesterday afternoon and caused a power failure as well as damaging the signalling equipment.
Managing director, Rob McIntosh, said engineers had been working through the night to fix the damage, external, but they "cannot say how long that work will take".

A Care Quality Commission (CQC) report released today said while the trust still needs some improvement it is now rated as 'good for safety'.
The trust was first ordered to make changes in 2013 after it was warned over its high death rates and finances, and it had still not improved enough by last year.
