Work is taking place in Southwell this morning to restore gas supplies after flooding yesterday.
The National Grid said engineers have been working through the night in Nottingham Road and about 4,000 litres of water have been pumped out of gas mains after the heavy rain.
Gas supplies to the Minster School, a local leisure centre, a care home and about eight homes were lost.

Yesterday evening saw travel chaos in parts of the county as heavy rain and standing water caused problems during rush hour.
Image source, DevilDaveThere are still some flood warnings about this morning for the River Leen and the Day Brook around Basford and Valley Road.
Further north, a flood warning was issued early this morning for parts of the River Maun around West Drayton and low lying areas in Clipstone, Edwinstowe and Ollerton were also at risk.
