    Highways England says the A38 northbound will be closed near the M1 J28 throughout this evening, external while work takes place to repair damage to the surface caused by the lorry fire. A diversion is in place.

    A Derbyshire Police spokeswoman said there had been no injuries - seems like the driver had a very lucky escape.

    The couple also stole £23,000 from a relative in 2012 and used the money to renovate two cottages that previously belonged to Martin Blanche before he died.

    All of the offences happened while Mrs Hampshire was still a practising tribunal judge.

    They will be sentenced on 20 December.

    Former judge Margaret Hampshire, 69 and her husband, Alan, 67, from Witham, Essex, have admitted forging the will of a man in Newark who died in 2007.

    The couple had been midway through a trial at Nottingham Crown Court before changing their pleas and admitting a total of six offences yesterday.  

    Their crimes were discovered by Nottinghamshire Police after an investigation by the fraud department.

    Here's a dramatic picture sent to the Derbyshire Times, external of a refuse lorry fire that has been causing delays on the M1 northbound at J28 near Mansfield.

    The lorry is on the A38 in Derbyshire which is going to stay closed for some time while the road is resurfaced.

    Edwin and his 10-year-old son Sam regularly use the Meden Sports Centre in Warsop.

    He started learning to swim there when it opened in 1969, and now brings his son to swim. They also play five-a-side football there every week.
