    A pedestrian who died after being hit by a lorry on the A6 in Oadby has been named as Ingeborg Toach.

    The 86-year-old, who lived in the town, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The crash happened near the Asda store on the evening of Thursday 10 August.

    Police are still trying to contact relatives of the victim are appealing to anyone who is related to or knows the family of the deceased to get in touch with them.

    Police investigating two break-ins in Hathersage are asking for help in identifying these men.

    A house in Jaggers Lane was broken into on Monday last week. The intruders searched inside and then left.

    Later on the same day, a property in nearby Mytham Bridge was broken into, with cash and jewellery being stolen.

    The offenders were disturbed during that break-in and fled on motorbikes.
