    A 26-year-old man has died after a crash involving two motorcycles in Nottingham.

    It happened in Wollaton Road at the junction with Eton Grove at about 23:30 yesterday.

    The road reopened this morning.

    Nottinghamshire Police said a 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and theft of a motorcycle.

    He remains in police custody.

    Officers are appealing for information after a 31-year-old man was attacked in Long Eaton.

    It happened in the Lynden Avenue, Nelson Street and Manchester Street area but Derbyshire Police said they can't be specific because the victim was dazed and had minor concussion.

    The man had cuts and grazes to his face and elbow from the attack on 9 September between 06:00 and 09:00.

    It's been claimed that two men travelling on a train from Leicester to Derby were singing offensive songs that included racially abusive words.

    One passenger has told police he believed the songs were directed at him.

    It happened on the train departing from Leicester at 19:01 on Saturday 8 August - the pair were thought to be returning from a football match.

    A Leicester City supporter who directed homophobic abuse at opposition fans has been fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs.

    Jason Holmes, from Mossgate in Leicester, appeared at Leicester Magistrates Court today where he admitted shouting an offensive term during a match against Brighton on 19 August.

    Prior to the hearing the 44-year-old voluntarily attended an educational session provided by the Kick it Out campaign against discrimination in football.
