BBC News OnlineThankfully the driver of this car only suffered minor injuries when they ploughed into Chesterfield Royal Hospital this morning.
Image source, Chesterfield Royal HospitalMedics were on scene pretty quickly and the driver was taken to A&E with injuries described as minor. Nobody else was injured.
The Den - home to children's outpatient services - was evacuated for a short time as a precaution.
An investigation is now under way into the cause but the hospital said it wasn't deliberate.

Reporter, BBC Radio LeicesterArmed robbers threatened staff in a village Post Office and punched a woman before making off with a quantity of cash.
Two masked men stormed into the Stoke Golding store at about 9.15 this morning and made off down High Street towards Dadlington in what is thought to have been a silver Audi A3.
The punched woman was treated at the scene.
It is the second time in six months the Post Office was been targetted by armed robbers.

BBC Local LiveVideo footage has been shared showing several people police want to speak to about a robbery and assault in Nottingham city centre.
The 25-year-old victim was in Long Row at about 01:30 on 26 August when a woman snatched his phone out of his hands and ran way.
As he attempted to get it back, he was assaulted by a group near Chaucer Street and his watch and wallet were taken.
His bank cards were used at McDonald's in Netherfield later the same day.

Loughborough MP Nicky Morgan has said that Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson should be sacked from the cabinet following his latest intervention on Brexit.

These included a transition period that should not last "a second more" than two years.
But speaking at this week's Conservative Conference in Manchester, Ms Morgan said Mr Johnson should remember the principle of collective cabinet responsibility.
She added: "Someone who cannot give up the oxygen of publicity, who decides he wants to set down arbitrary red lines [on Brexit], he does not have a place in a responsible government.

BBC Local LiveA charity for vulnerable women that faced closure after losing its council funding says it has raised enough money to stay open until Christmas.
The Derby Women's Centre couldn't even pay its phone bill last month but a big fundraising push has brought in some much-needed cash to keep the organisation running for another few months.
The charity's chief executive Yasmin Nazir (pictured) said: "The whole experience has been humbling. It's touching to know there are people who recognise and value the work we do."
Meanwhile it's emerged the city council is still referring vulnerable women to the centre, despite stopping its funding five years ago.
The authority said it did refer women to the centre "on some occasions" but declined to comment further.

BBC Local LiveA British soldier who rushed to the aid of those injured in the Las Vegas massacre has been hailed a hero by his younger brother.
Ross Woodward, 24, from Beeston, had been enjoying a trip to the US gambling capital with other off-duty troops when the attack happened on Sunday night.
As bullets rained down on an open-air concert from high above, the soldier, from 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards, helped lead wounded people to safety.

"I'm dead proud of what he's done, that he was able to do it."
The actions of Mr Woodward and two of his British colleagues were also praised by Prime Minister Theresa May, who said she would like to "thank them for what they did".

He said: “We expect our officers to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and treat their colleagues and the public with respect.
"This officer failed to meet these expectations and has been dismissed after a gross misconduct panel found his actions amounted to a breach of the standards of professional behaviour.

BBC Local LivePolice said a suspicious package which sparked an alert in Derby city centre this morning was a false alarm.
A cordon was put in place in the River Gardens area at about 10:30 while police checked the item.
The Derby Telegraph reported it turned out to be a child's toy, external.
A Derbyshire Police spokesman said: "The member of the public was, of course, absolutely right to call 999 with their concerns. It is exactly this kind of vigilance that could save lives in the event of a real incident."

BBC Local LivePolice are investigating a burglary and an arson attack at a house in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Dalestorth Road at about 04:40 this morning.
Police said that on attendance, it appeared the house had been broken into.
The elderly occupants of the property were not at home at the time of the fire, which was started in two separate places and caused extensive damage to the house.
