    A community defibrillator has gone missing in Bingham.

    An ambulance crew last used it on 8 October but nobody has seen it since.

    It is usually kept in the telephone kiosk in the Market Place but Martin Fagan from the Community Heartbeat Trust says it hasn't been returned.

    Mr Fagan said: "It is really important that we get it back because that device needs recommissioning and making sure that it is ready and available...it is a device that could save someone's life."

    The machine is used to deliver a therapeutic shock to the heart and treat conditions that affect the rhythm of the heart such as a cardiac arrest.

    Some of the Peak District's volunteers have won an award for their work recording information about the park's habitats.

    The "Moors for the Future" group beat off competition from 26 other projects to claim the £2,000 prize., external

    Sarah Fowler, chief executive of the Peak District, said: "The award is great recognition for the sterling work of our wonderful volunteers.

    "Their efforts are key to collecting the data needed to help us study how climate change is affecting plants, animals and habitats.

    The project plans to spend its cash prize on new equipment to help volunteers continue with their work, which will including monitoring otters, mink and water voles in and around the park.

    Parliament not getting a vote on the government's final Brexit deal would be "clearly unacceptable," according to a prominent Conservative MP.

    Nicky Morgan, MP for Loughborough, was responding to comments from Brexit secretary David Davis, who said any deal may not be done until the "59th minute of the 11th hour".

    "It would be completely pointless to have such a vote at that stage and so it is clearly unacceptable," Ms Morgan told the Daily Politics on BBC Two.

    The former education secretary added that she was confident Theresa May would make sure the UK and European Parliament would "have time" to vote on any deal.

    The government agreed earlier this year to give Parliament a "meaningful" say on the outcome of the current negotiations but Downing Street has not said when it will be.

    The tax office in Derby is set to close with more than 130 jobs at risk.

    Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs said it's planning to shut Northgate House in January 2019 as part of plans to create 13 regional centres.

    A lorry has become stuck after trying to drive under a low bridge on Barkby Road in Leicester.

    These types of incidents, known as "underline bridge strikes", are surprisingly common - there were 1,665 recorded by Network Rail over 2016-17.

    One of the most frequently struck bridges across the rail network is the A5 Watling Street in Hinckley. It was struck 10 times last year - putting it at number eight in the top ten.

    For obvious reasons, Barkby Road remains shut but trains are running as normal.

    A man has been cautioned and released by police after he was arrested at last night's Carabao Cup match between Leicester City and Leeds United.

    Leicestershire Police said the 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order.

    He was then given a conditional caution, external and was released from custody.

    A pub in the shape of a boat is set to be knocked down as part of a university's £500m renovation plans.

    Under proposals unveiled by the University of Leicester, Dry Dock, on Freemen's Common, would be knocked down to make way for student accomodation.

    In a statement, the university added that plans are still being "developed" and that they have been liaising "closely with the pub landlord".
