    Terry Moran, from the American broadcaster ABC, has been in Nottingham covering the visit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

    Mr Moran claims Americans are enthralled by the royals and their story.

    He said: "We love the glamour, we love the tradition that we don't have.

    "Here is a story where we have one of our own, an American woman, who is going to be stepping into that family in what looks to be a really happy way."

    It was cold on Nottingham's High Pavement but the atmosphere was warmly jovial.

    There was an eager anticipation in the crowd first thing - with some hardy souls queuing from dawn this morning - but that gave way to excitement later on.

    By the time the happy couple arrived the pavements were packed with well-wishing fans, many shouting congratulations.

    The delighted onlookers hope it won't be too long before the happy couple return.

    At Nottingham Academy, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are finding out about the latest developments with Full Effect, a youth programme that's been supported by the prince and his brother, the Duke of Cambridge, over the past four years.

    The scheme aims to stop young people from the St Ann's area of Nottingham getting involved in violence and crime through a combination of early intervention, mentoring and training.

    Before they leave, the couple are due to watch a "hip hopera" performed by students.
