A new 20mph zone, which will cost £90,000 to implement, will be introduced on residential streets around a school in Hamilton.
Leicester City Council impose the speed limit around Kestrels’ Field Primary School so it can reduce accidents and encourage more cycling and walking.
The scheme, which follows a public consultation, will be paid for by housing firm Redrow Homes as part of the planning conditions on a nearby development.
It will be a cold and dry night with some frost at first and some wintry showers throughout the evening.
There will be some clouds later in the far south with rain possible towards dawn.
Tomorrow will be a dull and cloudy start but the cloud should thin to allow for some brighter weather in the afternoon.
Temperatures will reach highs of 5C (41F).
