    More than 15 mosques in the East Midlands welcomed people from different faiths and backgrounds to an open day to break down barriers between communities.

    The national initiative, Visit My Mosque, was launched to help people better understand Islam.

    CCTV footage has captured the moment a 12-year-old girl was the victim of a "horrific" robbery in Derby.

    It happened on Cambridge Street at about 16:40 yesterday, when the child was on her way to the local shops on an errand for her mum.

    The man struggled violently with her and stole her phone.

    The CCTV footage captures the horrific incident taking place. I realise that the quality is not the best but we have released it quickly in the hope that someone will recognise the man. The 12-year-old victim has been very brave but was attacked for apparently no other reason than to steal her phone, a rose gold iPhone 6s."

    The man, who spoke with a "European accent", has been described as white/tanned, aged between 16 and 19, about 5ft 6in tall, and of a slim build.

    His hair is black, shaved on the sides and longer at the top, with a V-shape at the back.

    Two British soldiers have pleaded not guilty to membership of the banned neo-Nazi group National Action.

    Mark Barrett (pictured), 24, and Mikko Vevhilainen, 33, entered their pleas during a preliminary hearing at Birmingham Crown Court.

    A third defendant - a 23-year-old man who cannot be identified for legal reasons - has yet to enter a plea to the membership charge.

    The three men, who are all in custody, will stand trial on 5 March.

    Private Barrett, from Cottesmore in Rutland, appeared in court in person, while Lance Corporal Vehvilainen, from Sennybridge Camp in Powys, appeared by video link from HMP Belmarsh.

    National Action rally

    At an earlier preliminary hearing L/Cpl Vehvilainen pleaded not guilty to two counts of posting material online that was threatening, abusive or insulting, thereby stirring up racial hatred, and one count of possession of a document likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

    The document is alleged to have been 2083: A European Declaration of Independence, written by Anders Breivik (pictured below), who killed 77 people in two terror attacks in Norway in 2011.

    He is also accused of possession of a pepper spray.

    The third defendant has previously pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of a document likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, and one count of distributing a terrorist publication.

    National Action became the first far-right group to be banned in the UK when it was proscribed under anti-terror laws in December 2016.

    A meat supplier being investigated by the Food Standards Agency has gone into administration with the loss of almost 270 jobs.

    KPMG has been appointed as administrators to Derby-based Russell Hume Limited.

    Its meat products were recalled last month and chains including Wetherspoon took them off their menus.

    The FSA said its investigation concerned Russell Hume's failure to comply with food hygiene regulations.
