    A 17-year-old boy has died after being stabbed in Bulwell.

    Lyrico Steede (pictured below) was taken to hospital after being attacked by a group of people in the area of Stock Well at about 19:30 on Tuesday, February 13.

    Nottinghamshire Police said the attack happened on several streets including Lathkill Close, Lillington Road and Stock Well.

    The force is appealing for anyone with personal or business CCTV to let them know.

    They also want to hear from anyone who may have been driving through the area between 19:00 and 19:45 with a dashcam.

    A 20-year-old woman has been charged with murder after a man was discovered with fatal injuries at a house in Hucknall.

    Christopher Pearson was found with life-threatening injuries at the property on Strathmore Close on Sunday.

    The 39-year-old was taken to hospital where he later died.

    Demi Harris, of the same address, who was arrested at the scene, is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

    Nottinghamshire Police said the post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death has taken place, but they have not released details of Mr Pearson's injuries.

    Police would like to speak to these two men about the theft of an elderly woman's purse from a supermarket.

    The 78-year-old victim had been shopping at Aldi in Littleover on 11 November last year when she noticed her purse was missing.

    Later that day, money was taken from her bank account, police said.

    The officer leading the investigation said he appreciated that the suspected theft "happened a few months ago" but the CCTV image had only just become available to release.

    Work is set to begin at Bombardier in Derby on a major railway carriage contract.

    The £900m order is for Greater Anglia, who want to use the carriages on commuter routes into London Liverpool Street.

    It is hoped that the trains will be ready to bring into service next year.

    Residents in a village have complained that a clay pigeon shooting range is too loud.

    Castle Shooting Club has been holding fortnightly shoots in Marehay, near Ripley, since moving there in November.

    "Once they start shooting, I start tensing up waiting for the next bang to come," one resident said.

    Others have also expressed concerns about the location of the shoots.

    In response, the club has told the BBC that safety is paramount and it is looking at ways to reduce noise.

    Three historic buildings at Snibston Colliery have been granted Grade II listings by Historic England.

    It means the old lamp room, powder magazine, and locomotive shed will be protected following the closure of the old Discovery Museum.

    Plans for a new visitor centre, and 144 new homes on the site will not be affected.

    Leicester Tigers hope to have winger Nick Malouf (pictured) and lock Dom Barrow available for Sunday's trip to Saracens.

    Malouf failed a head injury assessment during Tigers' defeat at Gloucester, while Barrow has not played a Premiership match since October.

    "Nick [Malouf] isn't training," Tigers head coach Matt O'Connor said.

    "He should pass his return-to-play protocol hopefully by the back end of the week.

    "Dom [Barrow] is training and looking good so he's available for selection."

    Witness boards have been put up in Leicester as police continue their appeal for information related to a hit-and-run crash.

    On the evening of 8 February, a car hit a 61-year-old man on a zebra crossing, on St Peter's Road.

    Leicestershire Police have made two arrests in connection with the crash but no one has yet been charged.

    It's been an incredibly exciting day for the 900 staff at the Triumph factory in Hinckley.

    Prince William opened the new Factory Visitor Experience onsite and unveiled a "petrol tank plaque".

    Triumph's chief commercial officer, Paul Stroud, told the BBC the Duke of Cambridge was "clearly a passionate motorcyclist", asking lots of questions during the tour.

    The prince also proved motorbikes were not just for for "rebels" by taking to two wheels.

    Mr Stroud said Prince William did ask if he could spend longer on the Tiger 1200 but "time wouldn't allow".

    Police investigating an attack in Clifton have released this photo of three men on a motorbike.

    A man was attacked in the Edenhall Gardens area just after 19:30 on Friday 9 February.

    Nottinghamshire Police said: "Three men on a motorbike were said to have been involved and it's believed they were riding around the Clifton area for some time."

    The force is appealing for help identifying the men.

    A company based near Bottesford has created a device aimed at reducing the number of road worker deaths on our motorways and A roads.

    Highway Resource Solutions spent 11 years developing "smart cones" after hearing about the death of a worker on the A1 near Grantham.

    The cones contain a computer, and when hit by a vehicle they emit a piercing noise which warns workers to get out of the way.

    There’s also a button, which a foreman can press if he notices a vehicle heading towards the coned-off area.

    In addition, it's hoped the cones can be used to send information about roadworks to drivers' sat navs or Google Maps - and help people understand why repairs are being carried it.

    It's thought this could help reduce driver frustration.

    The Heights of Abraham in Derbyshire has scooped a top tourism award.

    It's the only attraction in the East Midlands to win a Visit England Gold Accolade.

    It received the top honour following an annual assessment by the tourism agency.

    The award puts them in an elite group of winners that includes Emirates Stadium, The Tower of London and Chester Zoo.
