A child has been airlifted to hospital this afternoon after being hit by a bus at Asfordby Hill, external.

A man has been treated for burns following a fire on a 15ft pleasure cruiser on the River Trent yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the burning boat at Stoke Bardolph at about 15.30.
Firefighters took about two hours to tackle the blaze, while East Midlands Ambulance Service treated the sole occupant.
The fire service said the boat was left "severely damaged".

Police say two suspicious fires that happened at homes on the same Leicester street last week are linked.
On Saturday, just before 18.00, clothing was pushed through a window at a property on Christow Street and set alight.
The previous Saturday, matches were thrown into a room at a different home through an open window at around 04.20, resulting to some fire damage to a teddy bear.
PC Sophie Young said: “Fortunately the fires didn’t cause any serious damage or injury but this was a dangerous act which could have had far worse consequences."

Police are appealing to try to track down a missing Heanor woman.
Kelly Rigney, 36, who was reported missing yesterday, is described as white and of slim build, with brown hair and green eyes.
The bassist bought tickets for a miniature railway but missed his turn while talking to fire crew.

A 17-year-old Slovakian girl who travelled to Derby near the end of her pregnancy left her son in the care of nurses three days after giving birth, a family court judge has been told.
The teenager told social workers in Derby she had become pregnant after being raped in Slovakia and wanted the boy to be placed for adoption, Judge Clifford Bellamy heard.
Judge Bellamy has ruled that the baby should be returned to Slovakia and says Slovakian judges should make decisions about his future.
The judge has revealed detail of the case in a ruling following a hearing in a family court in Derby.
Judge Bellamy said the child could not be identified but said he had been placed into the care of Derby City Council after being born in March.
British Transport Police say a person has died after being struck by a train this afternoon.
Officers were called to Chesterfield station shortly after 13:30.
Police remain on the scene and are working to identify the person and inform their family.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Five people have been taken to hospital after a National Express coach crashed in Leicester in the early hours of the morning.
The accident, involving a coach and a car, happened 00.50 on Narborough Road, police said. The road was closed and reopened at 05.40.
National Express said uninjured passengers were transferred to an alternative vehicle to continue their journeys.
"We will work with all relevant authorities to investigate the incident alongside conducting our own internal investigations," the company said.
